Burak Gürses was born in Sindelfingen, Germany. After graduating from the Graphic Design department of Istanbul Aydın University, Burak started his career at an early age with Ayakkabı Dünyası. He then gained hands-on experience at Generation M and Altavia Dekatlon before becoming an Art Director at Rabarba, one of the biggest ad agencies in Turkey. In 2019, he made it into Mediacat’s "Most Creative 30 under 30" list, recognizing younger talents in the advertising industry. His print ad for Migros Sanalmarket was showcased at the annual exhibition of the Turkish Graphic Designers Association (GMK). After three years full of national awards at Rabarba, he joined Havas Istanbul, where his successful campaign work continued to earn numerous awards. In 2020, Havas Istanbul was named the Best Creative Agency of the Year by Mediacat, winning a record total of 73 awards. In 2021, Burak and the Arçelik Creative Team were recognized in Mediacat’s “Top 50 Most Creative” list for their work with Arçelik, one of Turkey’s largest brands. After two years at Havas, he moved to TBWA/Istanbul, where he worked with major brands such as Beymen, Hepsiburada, and BMW. He returned to Havas Istanbul in late 2022 before transferring to Rafineri in March 2024.
Besides his award-winning work for Turkey’s most successful brands, Burak enjoys pushing himself in the digital realm. His controversial and experimental digital works have garnered attention from magazines such as Plastik and ArtsxDesign.
